Final Newsletter of the FURBUS Project: May 2024

The FURBUS project, dedicated to enhancing food resilience and promoting sustainable eating in urban communities, has successfully completed its activities. The final newsletter, released in May 2024, highlights the culmination of this impactful initiative. Key achievements include the completion of Activity 2, which delivered an online learning course on food waste reduction and sustainable eating, now available in English, Lithuanian, Italian, and Greek. The course comprises 50 micro educational modules, providing practical tips and engaging content to encourage sustainable practices.

A significant milestone was the final meeting held in Potenza, Italy, on May 17, 2024. Here, project partners reviewed the project’s outcomes and discussed future directions, including the exciting prospects of “FURBUS 2.0.” The project’s digital map, showcasing over 60 practical examples of food waste reduction, has been a cornerstone in sharing international best practices. Additionally, the educational course and various training events reached over 10,000 people online, emphasizing the project’s broad impact.

As the FURBUS project wraps up, the team extends heartfelt thanks to all supporters and participants. Stay connected and continue following FURBUS for more updates and future initiatives.
